A Rotary Champion demonstrates athletic and leadership skills on and off the field for that particular team, in short, a solid dedicated competitor who also motivates, inspires and assists teammates.

Students are nominated by their high school administrators, athletic directors, and coaches based upon their academic, athletic and community service accomplishments. Students begin the nomination process by completing an online application.

  1. Athletic Directors nominate students that meet requirements.
  2. Student receives an invitation to submit an online application.
  3. The application is submitted to Athletic Director and Rotary Judges.
  • Official high school transcript (required)
  • One school letter of recommendation from coach, teacher, counselor, principal, or administrator (required)
  • One community letter of recommendation (optional)

Nomination Requirements

Academic Excellence

Maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Athletic Achievement

Lettered in a Varsity sport.

Community Service

Leadership in school, community, and home.
